Treating people with MS

Treating people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is something that means a lot to me personally. In 2003, following many years of recurring symptoms, (such as numbness, weakness, brain fog, heat intolerance, and pain) I received a diagnosis of MS. After not being able to work any longer and beginning to think I would soon need a wheelchair, I began receiving acupuncture and herbs to treat my symptoms. Within a year, I was able to return to a full, active life. I returned to school, where I became a practitioner of Chinese Medicine. I still experience exacerbations and some permanent effects of the disease but with Chinese Medicine, I am now in control of my health. I hope to share similar results with you, allowing you to find healing and to live the life of your hopes and dreams.

Chinese Medicine is an effective and valuable resource for those diagnosed with MS. Research shows that Chinese medicine slows progression of the disease and can alleviate current symptoms. Optimally, treatment should begin as soon as possible with visits 2-3 times a week until stabilization occurs. As treatment progresses and improvement is seen there will be more time between treatments A variety of methods are used, including Chinese Massage, acupuncture, cupping, electro acupuncture, Qi Gong exercises, and herbal therapy. We can also work together to discuss dietary changes that can be beneficial based on your symptoms and constitution.
